Research Focus Groups

Our mission is to enhance and maintain our productive, competitive and highly funded research programs and to provide a center of excellence for the integrative training and development of outstanding students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty.

Tackling these fundamental issues in neuroscience requires a collaborative effort from researchers with similar interests and goals, as well as between researchers in diverse areas of neuroscience. A major strength of our program is the broad array of research areas represented, as well as the way these areas are integrated in collaborations among our faculty. Such collaborative efforts are highlighted by our ten research focus groups:

  • Addiction
  • Chemosensory
  • Developmental Neurobiology
  • Mood and Anxiety Disorders
  • Neuroendocrinology
  • Neuroprotection
  • Pain
  • Schizophrenia
  • Synapses and Synaptic Circuits
  • Clinical Neuroscience
