Course Master: Dr. Lawrence Goldman  Covers the role of voltage- and receptor-gated ion channels in cell function. Although the emphasis is on structure and function of channels in excitable tissues such as nerve and muscle, students gain insight into the rapidly developing field of ion channel function in non-excitable cells such as lymphocytes, transformed cells, and glial cells, and the roles of ion channels in development.
